Uganda's megaphone man at the top of the grandstand tried his heart out to drive his team to victory, but to no avail. All the screaming in the world couldn't stop Argentina over-running a depleted Ugandan side forced to draft in Danish reserves amid an injury crisis. There was still plenty of commitment from the Africans though as they strove to set up an Ombold Cup third place play off final against Norway.
Argentina will instead have that honor tomorrow afternoon as the HWC draws to a close. Their straight forward, organized brand of football should stand them in good stead, and it certainly proved enough here, quickly amassing a three goal lead with some powerful finishing. It was a lead they never let slip despite the best efforts of Ugandan star Olive one of the surefire contenders for the prize awarded to the best female player.
She struck to bring the scores to 4-3 late on and give the crowd a thrilling final minute as she sought to add an equaliser, but it was Argentina who struck, leaving it to the last second to make the game safe.
